Code of Conduct

Canada Games Park will not permit inappropriate behavior of any facility user, this applies to permit and non-permit users, tenants, contractors, visitors, general public and facility staff members. Individuals failing to follow facility guidelines may have their booking permit revoked or may be deemed persona non grata for future visits and use at Canada Games Park to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the facility users. Prohibited Facility Behaviours:

  • Vandalism and/or willful damage of facility structures or spaces
  • Possession or use of weapons or items intended to be used as weapons
  • Any physical assault, threats of assault or use of intimidation
  • Any sexual, cultural, and/or racial abuse, slurs, and/or harassment
  • Any action or language that is disrespectful, profane, or offensive to another’s comfort or well-being
  • Hateful speech, verbal, and/or physical harassment of any kind
  • Any delinquent or disruptive behavior; such as theft; general disruption or loitering
  • The use, possession or unauthorized sale of alcohol, or the use, possession, or sale of illicit drugs
  • Smoking/vaping of any kind is not permitted inside or outside of the facility. Outdoor signage indicates permitted designated areas
  • Mobility scooters and walkers only. Bikes, scooters and roller skates for recreational use are not permitted in the facility
Facility Policies and Procedures
  • Food and drink are not permitted on ANY permitted space, including indoor track, courts, and arena surfaces. (water is permitted in a plastic or metal resealable container)
  • At all times, children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian (16 years of age or older) when not participating in programed activities.
  • Lockers are available on the main floor behind the gym for personal items. Canada Games Park is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items. Lost and Found is managed at main reception. (CGP-2023-05).
  • Soliciting at Canada Games Park, including the promotion or sale of goods and services, is prohibited within the facility, unless authorized in advance.
  • When ice resurfacer is on the ice (or when the doors are open) access to ice is strictly prohibited.
  • Warmups, practices, stick and ball play, training, class or group instruction is not permitted in common spaces.
  • Patrons consent to being photographed/audio/video recorded which may be used for publication or reproduction on websites, social media, or any other purposes pertaining to the venue. (ID: CGP-2024-06) Photos and video/audio recordings are prohibited in all washrooms, dressing/locker rooms within the facility.
  • Canada Games Park upholds the right to peaceful assembly and free expression, outlined within the Peaceful Protest and Demonstration Policy
  • Posted guidelines and rules of conduct within changerooms and on internal or digital signage are to be followed
  • Service animals only, pets prohibited.
  • All users are responsible for their own first aid, including ice. Defibrillators are located in the facility, to be used by request to ASM staff. All injuries are to be reported to ASM staff.
