The Walker Sports and Abilities Centre at Canada Games Park is 200,000 square feet and was created with the intent of being the main facility for the 2022 Canada Summer Games.

Featuring two NHL-sized twin ice-pads, a 200 meter indoor track, six competition beach volleyball courts, a multipurpose field house and 400 meter outdoor track, a sports performance centre, parasport compatible gymnasium, health and wellness centre in addition to office spaces, the venue is packed with action and excitement.

In reference to the legacy the venue will have on the community and high performance athletics, Thorold Mayor Terry Ugulini states "It allows for increased access to recreational amenities for our residents while also promoting our region as a destination for sport tourism. This facility, and the Canada Games Park Consortium, is a testament to what can be achieved when partners work together".
